Against a classical and authentic background of old pine trees
said to be painted by an artist belonging to the Kano School in the Edo Period,
watch stage performances of traditional performing arts
such as Noh, Kyogen, Japanese dance, Kagura,
and ancient Japanese court music that transcend traditional schools.
Enjoy a "feast" of these Japanese traditional performing arts up close,
a luxurious experience unique to SUIGIAN.

Momokawa Geinagon

Geinagon

During dinner and bar time, excluding Special Performance dates, guests can enjoy an on-stage performance by "Momokawa Geinagon" while dining.
The performance consists of several digest versions of dances, approximately 7-8 minutes in length, providing our guests with the finest of entertainment experiences, and great topics for conversation while dining.

"Geinagon" is a group composed of female Nihon-buyou, Nagauta, Koto song, Shakuhachi performers who teach their art at the highest level.

Multiple performances

Nihon-buyou: Japanese traditional performing art, which is to dance to the Japanese classical music.

Nagauta: Classical Japanese song accompanied by shamisen.

Koto song: The "Koto," also known as "Japanese harp," is a traditional Japanese stringed instrument similar to a zither.

Shakuhachi: A vertical bamboo flute (with four holes in front and one in back).

Since the Edo period, “Nihonbashi Muromachi” is known to be the heart of Tokyo where people, things, and culture gathers.

The extraordinary world of “SUIGIAN” which is located underground of the historic Fukutoku Shrine, holds Noh stage and tea ceremony room, making it possible to experience the authentic Japanese culture. We are happy to be announcing our very first Bridal Fair.

On the day of the bridal fair, you will have the rare opportunity to see “Japanese Tea Ceremony Wedding”, which will be performed twice on the Noh stage.

Besides couples thinking about getting married, people in the wedding industry such as photographers, kimono dressers, hair makeup artists, etc. are welcome to visit to see the venue set up freely.

At “SUIGIAN”, guests will be treated with the precious tablewares inherited from the famous, historic restaurant Fukiro, which has entertained VIPs and many guests from around the world.

We can also accommodate for only wedding party such as party after the wedding ceremony at Fukakutoku Shrine.

Suigian’s great location which is only 2-minute walk from "Mitsukoshi-mae Station" on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, 10-minute walk from JR "Tokyo Station", is attractive factor as well.

– A Feast of Thankgiving for Bountiful Harvests –

Shintoritual Kinensai

The "Kinen-sai" is a special and traditional Japanese ceremony which is held at the start of spring, to express gratitude for recent bountiful harvests and to pray for future prosperity.
It is a ritual which honors nature's blessings, and conveys a deep appreciation for the work of farmers.

This is a special occasion, not simply to enjoy a meal, but to share a precious moment of thanks through cuisine prepared with heartfelt care and devotion.
Let us pray together for abundant harvests to come, and create even more moments of delicious happiness.

Through the ritual of "Kinen-sai" at SUIGIAN, we hope you can experience the precious treasure of food, the blessings of nature, and the joy of connecting with one another.

* Kinen-sai: An annual Shinto ritual in February praying for the good fortune of the year, including the rich harvest.
