Although SUIGIAN has only ever allowed traditional performing arts, it is finally undertaking a fully-fledged art program which fuses the traditional with the new.
It is the collaboration between two artists who represent the old and new of Japan: Manjiro Tatsumi, Noh master of the Hosho school of shite-kata and recipient of the Important Intangible Cultural Asset designation; and KEN ISHII, Eastern techno god and pioneer of the techno scene in Japan.

Set in SUIGIAN's space and using the theme "Jo-Ha-Kyu," a temporal concept in ancient Eastern music established on the main points of Zeami's Geinoron, this collaboration of Japan's ancient Noh performance and cutting edge music will offer a moment of "heart, technique, and body" which cannot be missed!

For culinary offerings on this day, SUIGIAN offers a new way of Japanese party menu that is carefully prepared using seasonal ingredients, based on the concept of 24 seasons and 72 micro-seasons, a traditional detailed calendar of the changing seasons in Japan.

Enjoy the mixture of cutting-edge techno music and traditional Japanese performing arts on against the backdrop of historic pine tree stage, that is said to be a work of a painter from the Kano school in the Edo era, complimented with SUIGIAN's excellent hospitality.

* Jo-Ha-Kyu: Japanese performing arts term which refers to three phases of a musical piece or stage performance. "Jo" is a peaceful introduction; "Ha" is a dense development phase; and "Kyu" is a fast-paced final chapter.
