Secluded beneath the historic Fukutoku Shrine lies the secret underground sanctuary SUIGIAN.
On Friday nights, it transforms into “MOMOKAWAROH,” a venue where sophisticated souls from across the ages gather for a dazzling, otherworldly celebration.
And then there is Friday, October 30th: the eve of Halloween.
The boundary between the other world and ours begins to waver, allowing guests from the Edo period to emerge for one night only.
Among them are a Noh performer with lingering attachments to the mortal realm, a resplendent Oiran, a biwa minstrel, dancers, traditional musicians, and singers.
Gathered across the span of time, these masters of the arts will dance, play, and sing upon a Noh stage, a legacy preserved since the Edo era, inviting you into a realm of ethereal beauty.
Adding a vibrant touch to the festivities is our pumpkin-headed DJ, PUMPKIN BOY.
Experience a one-of-a-kind moment where the beauty of traditional performing arts blends with contemporary music, and where the mortal world intersects with the supernatural.
Dress with flair, follow your heart’s desire, and enjoy a night interwoven with ethereal wonder and spirited revelry.
Since Halloween originated as a celebration of the autumn harvest, a selection of party food featuring the flavors of the season will also be available for you to savor.
On the eve of Halloween, an otherworldly, beautiful, and mysterious celebration awaits you at “MOMOKAWAROH.”
