“Hōshukusai (Celebration Ceremony)” is a traditional event held at the start of the new year in Japan. It is a special celebration to express thanks for the past abundant harvest and to pray for future prosperity. It is a time to appreciate the blessings of nature and convey gratitude to farmers.
This special occasion is not merely an opportunity to eat but to cherish our time together sharing in each other’s gratitude by enjoying dishes prepared with heartfelt care. Let’s pray together for a future bountiful harvest and create more moments to savor.
We hope “Shinnen-Hōshukusai (New Year Celebration Ceremony)” at SUIGIAN will allow you to feel the importance of food, the blessings of nature, and the joy of connecting with others.
At this celebration, we sincerely pray for the purity, safety, prosperity, peace, health, good fortune, and happiness of all participants.
After the celebratory prayer, you can experience traditional Japanese ritual culture with the elegant and solemn Miko-mai (Shrine maiden dance).
Then, following the Shinto service, we will move on to a banquet where you can enjoy delicious food made with nature’s blessings to your heart’s content.
Watch, listen, taste, and pray for good fortune―
We hope you’ll join us for this special evening ritual.
